"An Incredible Photography Tour in Bulgaria!"

 

"I recently returned from an amazing photography tour in Bulgaria with Presiyan, and I couldn't be more satisfied! From start to finish, it was a fantastic experience. Presiyan’s enthusiasm and deep knowledge of both photography and Bulgarian culture truly made the trip exceptional.

We visited a great mix of charming towns, quaint villages, and breathtaking nature spots. The hikes were well-planned, and Presiyan did an excellent job balancing the interests of the entire group, ensuring there was something for everyone. His ability to juggle different preferences and create a varied itinerary was impressive.

The accommodations exceeded our expectations—each hotel was comfortable and well-chosen, even the mountain hotel which, despite being older, was very cozy. The car was comfortable for the group, and everything was organized efficiently.

Presiyan’s guiding was top-notch. His expertise in history, local sights and traditions shone through, and it was clear he had done extensive research on every location we visited.

Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the tour. I've already been telling my friends about the wonderful experience in Bulgaria, and I'll definitely be recommending Presiyan to anyone looking to explore this beautiful country. I look forward to another adventure with him in the future!

Festival of Masquerade Games "Surva" Tour

 

"My girlfriends and I did a photo tour with Presiyan and we loved it. He speaks great English, so communication was never a problem.

We signed up to go to the Festival of Masquerade Games "Surva" in Pernik and it did not disappoint. Presiyan knew all the places, where to park, where to be to get the best photographs, and to watch the festivities. His knowledge of the traditions of the festival was priceless.

He also took us to non touristy towns which is always a plus. We learned of the traditions of engagements and weddings of one small town in the mountains, since Presiyan had connections there.

Would highly recommend him for any trip in Bulgaria you are thinking about!"

Winter Tour in Bulgaria

 

"You know when you read travel guides about a country you are going to visit and think you have a pretty good idea about what to expect, well you have barely scratched the surface.

We were introduced to Presiyan Petkov as our guide to the Bulgarian portion of our photography tour and quickly learned what a bonus that was. You don’t really ’see’ a new location or in this case a new country until you are shown it by a person who is passionate about their country, its people and its history. That’s what we got with Presiyan.

Photography by itself is pretty cool but the images are flat to me if there is no meaning or history to go with the images. That is what Presiyan provided for me. Yes his contacts got us into the Surva Festival and private shoots afterwards and an engagement party in a Muslim village and a number of other interesting locations.

But for me the best part was driving to and from locations and talking about Bulgaria and all it means to its people. It helps you wanting to try and capture some of that in your images.

Festival tour in Bulgaria

 

"My wife and I spent ten days with a small group of photographers touring Bulgaria with Presiyan. He not only showed us unique, photographically interesting places, he also connected with people in towns and villages to let us observe unique local events such as a beautiful and fascinating engagement celebration. We not only visited the amazing Surva festival, but spent time talking to and photographing a small village Kukeri group.

Presiyan clearly has researched more than just tour destinations, and is always ready for an impromptu stop when you see something interesting along the way. Our Bulgaria trip was a resounding success largely because of Presiyan’s care, time, commitment to excellence, kindness, thoughtful and clear speaking, and attention to detail.

"We loved this experience. There was only two of us who booked this trip and we are both photography enthusiasts. Presiyan really new the Rila mountains we’ll and kept us up to date on the altitude, names of the seven lakes and other information that we wouldn’t have known if Presiyan wasn’t with us. He took us even further and out of the way of the other tourists until it felt like we had the entire mountain to ourselves.

He took is to some great photo spots and introduced us to a well known Bulgarian photographer that happened to be passing by. The hike itself was a little rocky and steep at times but the views and the lakes are well worth the effort! Loved Presiyans homemade tea! It was a great treat especially when the wind gets a little chilly.

"The tour was beautiful! Presiyan really knew the route well and he is a very kind and considerate man! He brought water, (home made) tea, cake and energy bars which was very tasty and nice to have on top of the mountain! He picked us up and dropped us of near my appartment which im very thankful for as well. The vitosha mountain is very beautiful, Presiyan could tell us a lot about the mountain, the stars etc.

I would totally recommend this tour!"
